In an ancient time, Bang Pho was a fertile land of Chao Phraya River, plenty of fruits orchards. There are many foreigners, chinese and cambodian immigrated and lived here.

         Chinese who expert in furniture producing and wood crafting had began their work by using woods transported to the area by river. Nice works of them make this area famous in wood furniture products, later.

         Now, Bang Pho is a very famous location of wood furniture and crafting producers. At the end of January of every year, this 1 km. long road became "The road of woods". The festival is held to show and sale all kinds of wood products made from here.
