Hill Myna Bird

     
Hill Myna birds are popular pets having unique ability to imitate the human voice. The destruction of their breeding grounds alarmed environmentalists and so a captive breeding program ins under way.

Thai Bang Kaeo dogs, descended from a hybrid between a fox and a wolf, have a reputation for fierceness. Although their irises glow deep green when facing an enemy, their bark is often worse than their bite.

Siamese ridgebacked dogs are excellent pets and watchdogs. Descended from wolves, today's Ridgeback features an unusual fur growth on its back which flips the hair upwards to create a ridge.

Pig Tailed Monkey is clever and mischievous. They are looked upon by Thais with a mixture of amusement and endearment. Easily tamed, they share a special relationship with thier keepers, and are often used to gather coconuts.
