curry)
Gaeng Som (hot and sour vegetable soup with fish)
Gaeng Lueng (spicy coconut shoot soup).
Southern foods look more yellowish,
because they extensively use tumeric and curry powder,
for examples:
Khao Mok Gai (rice with fried
chicken, added tumeric)
Poo Phad Phong Garee (fried crab, added curry powder)
A famous kind of Southern sauce,
Boo Doo, is for eating with vegetables and making Khao
Yum (rice mixed with Boo Doo). Twisted cluster beans (Sator)
are plenty in the region and they are local foods that
can be cooked with curries, coconut soup or fried with
